Auto Motion: A Chic and Functional Sales Office

A High-Quality Space Designed to Stimulate Sales

The exterior of Auto Motion is adorned with large sashes, making it highly visible from both inside and outside. This street-level store facing the main street creates a sense of freedom and openness. Inside, the focus is on business negotiations rather than car displays. The space is thoughtfully designed with independent tables, counters, and boxes, providing a comfortable and inviting atmosphere.

The interior of Auto Motion is characterized by a chic color scheme of black, white, and wood brown. The ceiling, finished in black paint, features a series of hanging louvers and wooden planks, creating a sense of lightness. The walls are adorned with a combination of tiles, paint, and wallpaper, while the floor is a mix of tiles and wood flooring.

Spanning an area of 253 square meters, Auto Motion is a sales office that caters to high-income customers. The design aims to stimulate their purchasing power and promote sales. The business meeting space offers various seating options, including circle sofa seats at high tables, high chairs, box tables, and counter seats, allowing customers to choose the seating arrangement that suits their mood.

Despite the chic color palette, the space feels light and airy, thanks to the descending ceilings and indirect lighting. The 30 wooden louvers, each approximately 3 meters long, create a unique visual element and add to the overall sense of sophistication.

Located in Kyoto, Japan, the Auto Motion project was realized between March 2020 and May 2020. The design team, led by Shunsuke Ohe, also included Natsuki Sudo and Miyuu Ochiai, who contributed to the interior and lighting design, respectively.

Auto Motion has been recognized for its outstanding design and functionality. It was awarded the Iron A' Design Award in 2022 in the category of Interior Space, Retail, and Exhibition Design. This prestigious award honors well-designed, practical, and innovative creations that meet professional and industrial requirements. The design of Auto Motion integrates industry best practices and competent technical characteristics, contributing to a better world.
